  1. WHAT ARE YOUR COVID SAFETY PROTOCOLS?

    COVID Safety, Sanitizing and Disinfecting Protocols:

    SHRED905 has consulted with the Ontario Medical Association to derive the most comprehensive disinfecting protocols available. Our process and use of hospital grade disinfectants are all Health Canada approved and include a Drug Identification Number (DIN) marking their approval. 

    SHRED905 will utilize electrostatic spray disinfection to properly sanitize and disinfect all equipment in the gym including the Octagon, boxing ring, punching bags and all surfaces. 

    Electrostatic spray disinfection is a hospital grade method of sterilization and disinfection like no other. The disinfectant (also Health Canada approved) is more targeted, providing more consistent coverage, and like 2 magnets, attracts to the oppositely charged surface with remarkable force. The result....a fully disinfected surface free from all bacteria and viruses including Covid-19 virus, SARS, Influenza A&B, H1N1 & HIV. 

    The electrostatic spray disinfection will also be combined with our increased touch point sterilization of heavily touched surfaces throughout the gym also using a Health Canada approved contact sanitizer. SHRED905 staff will be spraying the solution throughout your scheduled class to all high contact surfaces and equipment. The solution is 100% biodegradable and safe to use while working out.

     

    SHRED905 Front Desk Check-In Protocol:

    • We ask members arrive no earlier than 10 minutes before class
    • Please do not arrive late for class in order to accomodate new check-in screening 
    • Upon entry members will sanitize hands and proceed to the front desk to check-in for their class. 
    • Members are to arrive with face masks ON and keep mask ON during the check-in process. Masks can be removed right before exercise starts. Please ensure masks are put back ON promptly once exercise is done. Participants will exit the studio with masks ON. 
    • Please ensure you arrive with a properly fitted mask- masks below the nose are unacceptable and do not provide the necessary protection 
    • All members are to check-in with the front desk upon entering the studio where temperature checks will be enforced as well as a verbal COVID screening questionnaire. 
    • Any member exhibiting a temperature reading of 38 degrees Celsius or higher will be asked to leave. 
    • The front desk is equipped with a protective barrier. Please keep your distance in front of this barrier. 
    • We ask that members come to class with as little belongings as possible. Please be sure to utilize the cubbies in the front for all belongings as our wall hooks and storage area in the back remain currently unavailable. We ask you come with a gym bag that can be used to store your belongings and that can be zipped up. Please NO LOOSE belongings in our front area.  
    • There is no member congregating before and after class. Members will not be permitted to enter the studio earlier and are asked to exit promptly once class is done. 

     

    SHRED905 Services Currently Discontinued:

    • Towel service is not available. Please be sure to bring your own towel.
    • The use of our communal floor mats. Please be sure to bring your own mat for all floor exercises. We ask you please bring a small sized mat to class in an effort to maximize our floor space. 
    • Our shower amenities remain closed 
    • Our water station remains closed due to the potential ‘bottle spout to tap contamination’. Please be sure to bring your own water. FYI- Post workout recovery beverages remain available for purchase at the front desk.  **We hope to offer these services as soon as it safe to do so***

     

    SHRED905 Class Sizes, Distancing and Class Flow:

    • We have reduced all class sizes in order to maintain the mandated distancing requirements. All online schedules have been updated to reflect the smaller class sizes. 
    • We have secured use of the adjacent outdoor walkway and will be able to use that space – weather permitting. 
    • We will have floor markers to indicate proper distancing and ask members stay in their designated ‘area’.  We plan to utilize all of our floor space in order to accommodate members and keep everyone safely distanced. 
    • We realize the flow and traffic during class will be different- we ask everyone be mindful of their movement and do their best to respect their working out ‘area’
  2. ARE OPEN WORKOUTS PERMITTED?

    SHRED905 is excited to offer SHRED Solo TIme which can be booked just like a regular class. Our Solo time has a maximium of 3 people on the floor and members have access to the entire SHRED floor and equipment. The Solo time does not include any guided fitness instruction- only front desk supervision. The Solo time is subject to all existing class booking and cancelation policies. This includes a strict 12 hour cancelation policy and all no shows forfeit thier class credit. Each Solo time booked requires one class credit. 

    Look for SHRED Solo on our weekly schedule. 

     

  3. DO YOU HAVE SHOWERS?

    **Due to COVID safety and health guidlines our shower service is temporarily suspended. We hope to offer shower service as soon as it is safe to do so. Thank you for your patience**

     

    Our boutique offers a shower room and a bathroom/change rooms. We provide towels, a hair dryer and shower gel.

  4. IS THERE A MEMBERSHIP FEE?

    A membership is not needed to workout at SHRED905.  Drop ins and class packages are available. We currently offer 5, 10, 20 class series. However our super affordable and attractive membership rates are sure to entice and have you joining in no time!  

  5. DO I NEED TO BRING MY OWN GLOVES ?

    Nope. 10 oz gloves are available to purchase ($14)  at our front desk, but if you have a favorite pair that you’d like to bring, that’s no problem.

  6. DO YOU HAVE WATER OR SHOULD I BRING MY OWN?

    **Due to COVID safety and health guidelines we have temporarily suspended our H2O hydration station to avoid any possible 'bottle to tap' contamination. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope to offer H2O service as soon as it is safe to do so.** 

     

    Bring your favourite water bottle, we offer complimentary chilled, triple filtered water at our hydrating H2O filling station.

  7. WHEN DO CLASSES BECOME AVAILABLE TO BOOK ONLINE?

    Classes will be available to book 30 days in advance.

  8. WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?

    Wear comfortable clothing and prepare to sweat!

  9. WHAT SHOES SHOULD I WEAR?

    Closed shoes are mandatory. Indoor cross-trainers, running shoes are all acceptable. 

    Shoes MUST be worn at all times, bare feet are not permitted in the ring.

    **Please respect our indoor shoe policy, so we can maintain a clean workout space for everybody**

  10. WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?

    We recommend arriving 10 minutes before class your scheduled class.

  11. WHAT'S THE CANCELLATION POLICY?

    Something has come up and can’t make it? We get it! Our cancelation policy is similar to those that most studios have. You can cancel your scheduled class up until 12 hours before without losing your credit. If you cancel within 12 hours or less OR do not show up, than you will forfeit your credit.

  12. CAN I PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS WHILE PREGNANT?

    Absolutely! We ask you speak to your physician first and get their OK.

  13. IS THERE AN AGE REQUIREMENT?

    Young SHRED members are welcome to join, however if they’re under 18 they will need to get a parent or guardian to sign a waiver. Unfortunately, we are not accepting children under 13 at this time.
